Welcome to GreyCat Armory, a division of GreyCat Workshop.

Located in the Barony of Jararvellir in the Kingdom of Northshield. I offer custom shields hand crafted from .090" 6061-T6 Aircraft Aluminum for use in SCA heavy fighting and Rapier combat. Examples can be seen in use at most baronial practices and at SCA events around the area.

I cut the blanks custom when you order, so you can get what you want. The dimensions you want, the shape you want, the amount of curve you want, even in the color you want. Large or small heater, center grip round, teardrop, kite, buckler, etc. See the shield page for a rundown of cost and to configure your own, take a look I what I have done and contact me with any additional questions. I also offer shield edging by the foot in White or Black sized to fit the .090" aluminum.

I also have available kingdom and group plaques and can custom make them with your personal device on them as well. If I don't have your Kingdom, Barony, shire or group listed, contact me, possibly with a link to the heraldry that would be on it and I can get you a quote and add it to the site.

Thought about getting an aluminum shield but don't know how to get your device on it in a way that won't need much upkeep? Or you just want it a solid color that isn't bare aluminum? I offer custom powder coating for the shields I sell, or a shield you may already have.

Powder coating works on most anything aluminum, stainless or mild steel in your choice of color including detailed patterns with multiple colors. A clear coat on polished armor to help with rust prevention; or personalize other parts of your kit, helm, gorget, etc. Have an old painted helm that is still structurally sound but has seen better days in the looks department? Contact me and we can discuss the options. The helm on the right was sandblasted and then Chrome powder coated with a black grill and shocks people that have known the helm for over 5 years in the before state.
